1. Service Description
Express Airport Cars (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a TfL Licensed Private Hire Operator (PCO Licence No. 008740101) providing airport transfer services across London and surrounding areas. We operate via our website at www.gotoairport.taxi (formerly expressairportcars.co.uk). All journeys are subject to these terms and conditions.
2. Booking & Payment
All bookings are made through our website or by telephone at 0203 865 1942. By placing a booking, you agree to these terms and conditions in full.
Payment is processed securely via Stripe. We accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Full payment is taken at the time of booking. We do not accept cash payments.
You will receive a booking confirmation via email to the address provided. Please ensure all details (pickup address, flight number, date, time, passenger count) are accurate at the time of booking.
3. Pricing
All prices quoted are fixed prices based on the route, vehicle type, and number of passengers. The quoted price includes the journey, VAT where applicable, and standard luggage allowance.
The following surcharges may apply:
- Public Holiday Surcharge (50%): Applies to bookings on 25 December, 26 December, 31 December, and 1 January.
- Congestion Charge: If your journey passes through the London Congestion Charge zone during charging hours, the applicable charge will be added to your fare.
- Airport Entry Fee: Airport drop-off or pick-up fees charged by the airport operator will be passed on to the customer where applicable.
All surcharges are displayed clearly during the booking process before payment is taken.
4. Cancellation & Refunds
More than 24 hours before pickup: Full refund. Cancellations can be made via your booking confirmation email or by contacting us at bookings@expressairportcars.co.uk.
Less than 24 hours before pickup: Non-refundable. Once within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time, the full fare is non-refundable as the driver will have been allocated to your booking.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
5. Waiting Time
Airport pickups: We provide 45 minutes of free waiting time from the actual flight landing time (not the scheduled time). This accounts for baggage collection and clearing customs. After the free waiting period, a per-minute charge will apply.
Non-airport pickups: We provide 15 minutes of free waiting time from the scheduled pickup time. After this period, a per-minute charge will apply.
Our drivers will attempt to contact you via the phone number provided. If contact cannot be made within the waiting period, the booking may be treated as a no-show.
6. No-Shows
If you fail to appear at the pickup location within the free waiting period and cannot be contacted, the booking will be classified as a no-show. No refund will be provided for no-show bookings. We strongly recommend providing an accurate mobile phone number and flight number to avoid this situation.
7. Luggage
Standard luggage allowance is determined by the vehicle type selected at booking. If you have excess or oversized luggage (e.g., golf clubs, musical instruments, pushchairs), please inform us at the time of booking so we can arrange an appropriate vehicle. We reserve the right to refuse carriage of luggage that cannot be safely accommodated. Express Airport Cars is not liable for damage to luggage unless caused by negligence on the part of our driver.
8. Child Seats
Child car seats are available on request and must be requested at the time of booking. Please specify the age and weight of the child so we can provide the appropriate seat. Under UK law, children must use an appropriate child restraint until they are 12 years old or 135cm tall. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure the child seat is fitted correctly.
9. Flight Monitoring
For airport pickups, we monitor your flight status in real time. If your flight is delayed, we will adjust the pickup time accordingly at no additional charge. Please ensure you provide the correct flight number at the time of booking to enable this service.
10. Liability
Express Airport Cars carries comprehensive public liability and vehicle insurance as required by TfL licensing regulations. However, our liability is limited as follows:
- We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, road closures, adverse weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.
- We are not liable for missed flights or connections resulting from such delays.
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fare paid for the journey in question.
- We are not responsible for items left in vehicles, though we will make reasonable efforts to recover and return them.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
11. Data Protection

We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 24 hours and provide a full response within 7 working days. If you remain unsatisfied, you may escalate your complaint to Transport for London (TfL).
13. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
